A forum is a vital feature of any functioning democracy. It is where people participate in exchanging ideas, opinions, and information, and it contributes
to the decision-making process in an organization such as ours. An obvious problem with an online forum is that it may limit access for members who do not
have an Internet connection at home. We encourage those to use the Internet service that most public libraries offer.
This Forum is open to the general public for reading. To post comments you must be a listed member of GSN and you will need to log in using your password.
Listed members offer seed in the current year's Source List (see Membership page and Source List page for more information).
There are two basic categories within the Forum. The first involves general discussion of matters relating to seed saving, including questions and
suggestions. The second contains discussion of organizational management and policy, and information about elections and annual meetings. You will find
profiles of candidates for the Board of Directors on the Board Nominees Page. We urge you to participate since the success and vitality of the Grassroots Seed
Network will depend on your engagement with the organization.
Depending on the volume and nature of the discussions, we may add more categories in the future to allow for conversation on more specific subjects or
threads. As is true with all forums, we encourage the open discussion of fresh perspectives and critical input while remaining civil and always refraining from offensive
language or personal attacks.
